This retreat is for everyone who is on the journey to finding a new sense of how the Divine speaks to them. The Wild Divine is defined as our untamed interior and exterior, including and especially the natural world. We will spend our days immersed in our senses, in contemplative practices and coming to know ourselves more fully; this wild part of us that not longer needs permission, but space to expand and acknowledgement of the connectedness of all beings.
The Whidbey Institute is located one hour north of Seattle. It has served as a home for transformational learning since 1972. The location supports an engaged, vibrant local community with a cultural and learning hub; invites a growing urban population looking for nature connection and contemplative space; and allows them to partner with a vibrant network of program leaders working in the areas of leadership development, ecosystem vitality, community resilience, and more.
We exist for those who sense the urgency and responsibility of our time and feel called to respond
The Institute has been founded on land that is located on the territory of the Lower Skagit, Swinomish, Suqamish, and Snohomish tribes—the island Tscha-kole-chy, named Whidbey Island by colonial settlers.

We will be the only group on site at Whidbey the week of our immersion and the land will be resting from a gathering the week before. It is the perfect time for us to be with the space... and the first time as well. We are so very excited! There will be 19 registrants accepted for this immersion.
